Where is the tournament being held?
The tournament venue is the Victoria Conference Centre, at 720 Douglas St.
Is there parking available at the venue?
Yes there is, and we have a special rate for tournament attendees. Go to Transportation for complete details.
What is the entry (card) fee?
The entry fee (per person per session) is Canadian $21, which corresponds to US$15 at the current exchange rate.
What currency is used at the tournament?
The official currency is the Canadian dollar, but we also accept US $. As far as paying for your card fees, you’ll need a credit card and the currency conversion will be done automatically.
How do we get to Victoria?
Victoria, the capital of British Columbia, is located at the southern tip of Vancouver Island. As there is no bridge to the mainland, getting to Victoria requires taking a ferry (car or passenger) or flying in.
Ferry options:
- From the Vancouver area, BC Ferries offers regular scheduled service for cars and foot passengers to Victoria (Swartz Bay) and Nanaimo.
- From Seattle, Clipper Vacations operates a fast, (2.5 hours) passenger-only catamaran.
- From Port Angeles, Wa, the Coho Ferry (cars and foot passengers) crosses the Juan de Fuca Strait to downtown Victoria in 1.5 hours.
Flying in:
- Fly to Victoria International Airport(YYJ) on a regularly scheduled commercial airline.
The airport is 27 km (17 mi) from the tournament venue downtown. Currently, there is no shuttle service to or from the airport. Follow this link for other options. - Fly to Victoria Harbour (right by the tournament venue) on a seaplane from Vancouver (Harbour Air) or Seattle (Kenmore Air).
- Fly to Victoria Harbour (James Bay) from Vancouver via Helijet (2 km from tournament venue).

What can we do in Victoria (other than play bridge)?
Victoria is known as the City of Gardens, the most famous of these being Butchart Gardens. There are also many interesting things to do, both on-water and off. Check out Tourism Victoria’s website for more details.
